Chef Infra Client 16 is smaller, faster, and easier to use, with more built-in than any of its predecessors. New support for Chef recipes in YAML make writing policies a snap, and the new "unified mode" makes implementing custom requirements easier than ever before. New resources and functionality have been added, and on top of new features, Chef Infra Client 16 is nearly 25% smaller than its predecessor, with fewer external dependencies.
